LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 300-280 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.50 g, 3 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing wreathed and crested Attic helmet. Rev. ΥEΛHTΩN Lion walking to right; in exergue, grape bunch on vine. HN Italy 1302. Williams 385 (this coin, O193/R271). Beautifully toned and of very fine style. Very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
